Austrian water is not scarce — it is expensive to heat, treat and discharge, and it carries whatever came off the car. So we built the plant first and the tunnel second.
Washing at home on a driveway sends untreated detergent, oil and heavy metals straight into the storm drain. In Austria that is also illegal in most municipalities. Our discharge is metered and reported.

Every drop that leaves the tunnel runs into a three-chamber settling tank under the floor. Grit, brake dust and road salt drop out before anything moves on.

An oil and coke separator lifts hydrocarbons off the surface. That fraction leaves the site as regulated waste with a signed transfer note — it never reaches the drain.

Biological treatment and a membrane stage bring the water back to a clarity we can measure. We test turbidity and pH daily and log both against the site record.

Recycled water runs the pre-soak, the main wash and the first rinse. Only the final rinse uses fresh softened water, so the car dries without spotting.

Salt-season wash operatives, summer detailing assistants, valeting crew and seasonal site supervisors. Every starter gets two weeks of paid training and proper wet-weather kit, and most roles are open to non-EU applicants on a seasonal work permit we sponsor.
